JLB Metallics

For this look we have 3 coats of Polish Addict Jellyfish stamped with JLB Jade (6th row) and accent JLB Cherry Pop (5th row) using Plate MLS-01. I did end up using a detail brush to go over parts of the stamping where I didn't center it well because I am still some what hit and miss when it comes to the french type stamps. Topped it off with a bit of Seche Vite.

I gotta say I liked the formula for this one better than some of the others there is still plenty of glitter but you are able to build it up in thin layers. Jellyfish is almost a beige-y creme base with fine metallic aqua, fuchsia and gold glitters. If I use this again I'll probably layer it over a solid creme base to limit the number of coats needed for desired opacity.

Also I just have to say I bought this set of 7 JLB Metallic Fever Polish collection at Ross for 5.99. They are almost all 1 coaters and they stamp awesome. Fantastic deal for anyone on a budget.

Just a Swatch of Enkelini Violet Soul

This is 2 coats of Enkelini Violet Soul. Gosh I love her holos, they are so bright, there isn't drag, and they dry quickly. I want all of her polishes like the greedy guts I am.

This is inside light can you believe it, and unlike some holos you can even see it very clearly on my tiny nails. Not that it needs mentioning, but I wasn't compensated for this review or given polish or any other incentives. This is just spectacular Indie Polish maker. If you are a holo lover I recommend you snap any holo up she makes because you'll never be disappointed.

A Bit Too Subtle

I didn't care for this, its actually much much more visible in the picture than in real life.
I started with 2 coats JLB Purple Rain. I used Sation Miss Emo Shun All to stamp from XXl Plate row M53.

Pay no attention to the bumpiness/bubbliness its because I just had to shake the bottle up then used it right away. I can't tell you why I feel compulsion to shake them I just do.

Greens and Blues

This is 2 coats Polish Addict Winter Wonderland. I used Stripe Right in Blue Metallic and Sea Green Metallic to add on a sort of  V'd french tip. Topped off with Seche Vite.

  • I didn't really care for the formula of this the glitter was bit too dense fore me similar to texture of China Glaze It's a Trapeze. It went on evenly enough but I just didn't care for it personally.

Above the Curve - Dr Suess

This is swatch type post, which I do not do often.  This is Above the Curves Oh the Places You'll Go!, 3 coats, could definitely do fewer coats if you used an undercoat of a more opaque color. It is really lovely, I  topped with Poshe.

Sorry about lack of clean up, I really liked this so pretty and went on so smoothly.

Green Monochrome Dot and Stripes

This is 3 coats of  Ludurana Green stamped with YH Beja # 17 using Bundle Monster plate BM 301. I used a large dotting tool to also add oval dots and topped with Piper Polish Spectraflair top coat.

I do love spectra flair topcoat it makes any look holographic.  I wasn't too super thrilled about how this turned out, it just didn't look like I thought it would in my head.

Indian Pink with a Bit of Gold Gilt

Ok, Ok so it isn't called Indian pink, it is 2 coats of Above the Curve's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun stamped with YH Beja #16 using XXL Stamping Plate row m64.

Above the Curve Describes GJWHF as a holographic raspberry pink creme. I'd say that was fairly accurate, but it does so remind me of the color so often referred to as Indian pink. So I chose this stamp as it reminds me of a mehndi work. Not quite in same color scheme but pretty none the less.

Rolling Green Hills

I can not tell you how much I just loved this, I think this turned out so well. I loved the colors and the stamping design.

This is 2 coats of Yh Beja #17 stamped with  Color Club Kismet using Winstonia plate W111.

I usually do not do so well at all over stamps I always seem to miss a bit  or muss it up, while I still made a few mistakes, I am really happy with my progress. I got a lot of compliments on this look.

Star Studs and Swatch

Basically this is a swatching post  with studs.
I used 2 coats of Julie Holla-Peno and added top coat of YH Beja #17  which is a Gold Holographic Glitter Topcoat. The Studs I found on Ebay. Topped it off with Seche Vite.

Just Holla-peno and stud

Topped with YH Beja #17  on non-studded nails.

I very muc like this top coat it doesn't significantly change the nail color and it really adds a nice sparkle. Like all other Yh Beja polishes it sorta smells like like melted crayons, but for a buck, I am totally cool ok with the smell.

Baroque Blues

I started with  2 coats of China Glaze Snow White and stamped with  KleanColor Metallic Sapphire using Gals plate GA-35. I topped with Enkelini Emerald Mine.

I really had a very difficult time getting the stamps centered, but I still think it turned out ok.  I also think I didn't do Emerald Mine any favors I should have saved it for top coating a darker color to really make it stand out .

Bright Orange Peach

I do love this color it is so bright and cheerful. I hate that the camera never quite captures the true color and brightness.
I did 2 coats of Sinful Colors Summer Peach with 2 coats of Nabi GitD Peach over it. The GitD doesn't really add any color. I stamped with Konad White using plate Mash-38 and Ga34(accent)

I was super unhappy with the opaqueness of the overall stamping, doesn't help I  mangled it the stamping a bit except on the accent nails.

MLS 09 Plates

For this I used 2 coats  of Zoya Amminah  and 2 coats of Sally Hansen Debut-tint. I used a black stamping polish from My online shop  and bottom row of stamping plate MLS 09. I used P&E Sky Glow in the Dark to top off the stamping.

I cant say I was terribly fond of this Zoya color. the P&E glow in the dark was nice I was hoping it would glow blue but alas my search for GITD polish that is any thing but yellow green glow has yet to come to fruition.

Mason Polish - Review

Review of some polish I bought myself from Simply Mason Candles on etsy.
As always I bought these myself, I wasn't given the polish nor was I compensated any other way.

Right then !  On to the review part.

Their ordering and product shots leave a little something to be desired, They could use a bit better product descriptions and if you want fancy things these probably aren't for you. Prices are super reasonable full size price 5.00usd, mini price 2.50usd so I took a chance and I am glad I did.

The non glitter polishes were fairly shimmery so I wouldn't call them a creme, they are not sheer and are opaque in about 2 thin coats, first coat is bit streaky but do not let that scare you, it will even out with second coat.

First off Color number 3 Emerald, very shimmery deep green almost has a grey-ish undertone went on smoothly, I do not know what it is but I do love this color.
Number 3 - Emerald - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

Number 4  Sapphire I wouldn't call it sapphire, really, but I do not know what I would call it, has an almost purple undertone, very shimmery as well.
Number 4 - Sapphire - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

Number 10 which was named True Green very shimmery green in the bottle but it only really looked true green over black. Looked sort of a darker minty green over white and on its own.
Number 10 - True Green - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

The glitters were all very fine glitter, applied smoothly and evenly, dried quickly and the texture wasn't very rough at all. I think these might even be cool to layer over each other and make your own mix :).

Number 90 called White Glitter which it wasn't, I was bit disappointed that it wasn't an opaque white but this iridescent glitter is very very lovely on the nail. I think it is close or a dupe for several other polishes I own I may explore that more later.
Number 90 - White Glitter - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

Number 99  Black glitter is very fine black glitter it isn't really shiny like a metallic but I don't think it is quite matte either. Looks bit like pepper on the nails and I must admit I was but surprised by my liking this one so much it isn't something I would normally buy.
Number 99 - Black Glitter - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

Number 87 Holo glitter. I have some other things like this in my collection it might also be a close dupe and again might explore that bit later. Its a silvery holographic glitter I think it would be awesome for some galaxy nails maybe.
Number 87 - Holo Glitter - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

Number 96 Purple glitter Its a shiny metallic purple. very pretty on, also think it would be great for some galaxy nails.
Number 96 - Purple Glitter - 1 coat over white, 2 coats on own and 1 coat over black

So that is end of that I am fairly happy with my purchases here I would definitely buy from them again. If you are looking for something simple from an Indie maker I'd definitely recommend this one.

Lotus Nails

I did this look for the Crumpet Amateur Nail Art Contest You should head on over and take a look at the other entries they are all fairly awesome.

Well now for the polish details no need to dawdle, this is 2 coats of Jade 414 Tangerine and 2 coats of Dare to Wear Anonymity on my accent nails. I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and a nail art detail brush to paint the lotus design. I then used same brush to add dots of opposite colors to the points.

My non-dominant hand went on quite bit thicker  than my dominant did but over all I am fairly happy with the finished product considering freehand art is not my forte.

Helicopters

I have wanted China Glaze For Audrey  for a while, I finally got it and meh its ok not as awsome as Id hoped but it still applies well like most China Gaze polishes do.

I started with 2 coats China Glaze For Audrey and stamped with Calypso blue using a design on 4th row of the Fun 1 plate.

On left For Audrey and Right Calypso Blue

Textured Nails

Ok  OK I admit it I caved and bought some textured polish
this is 2 coats of Julie Rock Candy. I stamped it with China Glaze Calypso Blue  using plates fun 2, 2nd row( Hello My Dear birdie) and 7th row(Hot-Air Balloon).

No Seche Vite

Seche Vite

I do not know why I succumbed. I do not like texture on my nails. Honest for this texture it is basically same texture as dense glitter polish. It is much much easier to take off than glitter, and for me it had much more staying power than glitter does. It removed similar to how a densely packed shimmer polish might. Its pretty with Seche Vite over it but for me it isn't any thing to get all excited about.

Green and Gold Diamonds

For this look I used  2 coats of  Sally Hansen Grass Slipper  with  1 coat of Debut-tint. I  then added some slow drying top coat  and placed 2 rows of holographic gold glitter from the Essence nail art kit.
I topped it all off with Seche Vite.

Once again I am left more and more impressed by people who do full glitter manicures. This is so time consuming and tedious. It is pretty but it probably wont be anything I do often.
