Lacey Nails

I have to say some of my very favorite polishes have been no named one off type brands and this polish is no exception.
This is 2 coats of Haute Nails no name on my thumb, pinky and pointer. It is almost a neon coral-red it applies super smooth. On my ring and middle finger I have 3 coats of Del Sol Candy Cane(which changes from white to dark pink in the sun but sadly I didnt get pic). I then stamped using plate dash24 and the opposite color.

While the nail line is visible in pics it was not in real life. I loved this lacey design even though I messed up the stamp a bit. I do find it irksome that the primary ones I messed up were on the white and the middle finger where it would show the most.

Barry M Swatch Remodel

I was not content with just the swatching so I top coated with 2 coats of Polish Me To Go Summer Lights and stamped with Barry M Silver foil, using a design from plate XXL Shany 2.

I felt like the Summer Lights glitter topper spread really evenly and had a really lovely glow in the dark.  I am super pleased with the stamping I think I got placement ok and the stamps are really crisp for the most part.

Barry M Swatch

These are just Barry M Swatches, 2 coats each of Watermelon (green) and Blackberry(Blue).
I do like Barry M it does just glide on and it ususally doesn't take a billion coats to look nice.

Blackberry on the pinky and pointer and Watermellon on the ring and middle finger.

Simple Chevron

I love some glow in the dark goodness so when I saw some I had to buy it. If I were more talented as a photographer I would show you the glowy goodness as such I am not so no glow for you.

I started with 3 coats of Polish Me to Go Honey My Dew and Pinky Promise alternating nails. I thought while these were fairly true to color. They were a bit gritty and I had some problems with drag but the dragging problem could have been my fault.  I was going to leave it but I was feeling like I had been lazy about doing my nails properly. So I used some cheveron french guides and Ninja Polish Eye Candy to make an accent on my ring finger.

I like the simplicity of this. If I did it again I would probably have the chevron pointing down or maybe two intersecting one pointing up and one pointing down.

Flowers and Stripes

I thought I'd do some roses again and maybe try to do striping. I think this turned out alright but I think I like my first attempt better :)
I started with 3 coats of Chick Cutie Pie. To make the stripes I used a striping brush and Ulta The Jungle Look (green)  and Princessa (pink).  To make the roses I used Princessa (pink) to make some blobs to start then I used a small detail brush and Dashica Stamper(red) Princessa (pink) Mentality Suede to add detail to the roses. I used Ulta The Jungle Look (green) to paint in some leaves.

I showed in both lights, I think the ones at bottom are more true to color. While I am fairly happy with how this turned out I do think my first attempt was better.

Mentality Nail Polish - Siren

Mentality Polish, Siren is described as a burgundy red holographic polish with purple flecks.
For me, even in person, I found purple to be the most prominent color, though I did catch it shift through burgundy to purple to almost grey finally to an almost lilac color.

Again sorry for the swatchy month, I've been a lazy bugger.

A-England ST George

aEngland Saint George is a Dark teal scattered holographic. It is just beautiful, several people have swatched it and better than me, but I just couldn't bring myself to stamp on it.

Above the Curve Diablos

This is just a swatch post, I'll Be having a few swatch posts this month because I haven't had a lot of time to do my nails.
Diablos is described as " a dark reddish brown almost mahogany holographic polish"  It is just so pretty.
For me it was a bit brownish but I'd say mine was more of a coppery bronze-y type color when not in bright light but still very pretty to me
These pics are 3 coats of Diablos in different light.

Chartreuse Tantalizes

This is 3 coats of Revelon Tantalize look at is so so pretty and sparkly

I thought this would look fantastic as a art deco style striping manicure and I like green and purple together so I put on tape and added 1 thick coat Barry M Bright Purple.

Yes too many Pics I know but I do really love how it turned out. I know all my striping tape manicures look similar but that is only because I am not a creative person :). I am working on it

Subtle Grey Flowers

This is CQ Eggplant 2 coats stamped with Color Club Beyond using a Dashica plate but I do not recall the number will try to look it up.

The Holographic effect was much better in person, but it was still quite subtle. I think it would probably be a good look for the office.

Gold and Teal

I am really happy with how this turned out the stamp is crisp and the placement is good. I do wish I had used studs instead I think the stones are a bit yellow.
This is 2 coats of OPI Ski Teal We Drop stamped with Essie Good as Gold, I do not recall the plate name (I will try to be batter about this) the stones are from ebay.

Roses and Diamonds

So I tried out the Migi Nail art pens again, I like them marginally better but I am not sure they are really any easier than a detail brush and as mentioned they take a while to dry.
I started with 2 coats of Yh beja Yellow creme and I used Migi Nail pen in Pink to make some roses and then added stones from ebay for an accent and topped with Poshe.

I found this stupid hard to do and took longer than normal to do and dry. I do wish I had used pink or yellow stones instead of the clear and I sort of wish I had used more than 1 color for the roses.  My left hand is only marginally better than my right so all in all I do not hate this entirely.

Kitty Cats and Polka Dots

This design was inspired by (copied badly?)  A post on kittybeast.tumblr.com
I started off with 2 coats Cherimoya Rated R, it is not quite as orange as it looks in the pictures it is more red than orange.  I recently was suckered into buying the Migi Nail Art pens I am still not quite sure how I feel about them. I used the Migi Nail Art pens in pink, black, and white.

The my Left hand turned out ok, but the right hand WOW what a hot mess. These pens take a bit of getting used to I'll keep working with them to see if I start liking them better. Part of the issue on the right hand is the pen wasn't shaken up well enough and when I tried to use it the pink was very liquid and because the black wasn't quite dry they mixed.  These pens take a bit of time to dry and they streak badly if you don't let them dry see right hand :(
