Onyx and Gold

I started with 3 coats of Tough as Nails Lacquer Famine: The Black Horse and 3 coats of Femme Fatale Sparkling Sands as an accent.  Stamped with BM 215(accent) and BM 07  using Mash Black and Barry M gold respectively.  I then added some Black and gold rhinestones.

I really do love how this turned out. I do wish I could find an bright yellow Indian gold stamping polish. The stamping turned out OK, I still haven't gotten centering things down quite yet but I do think I am getting better.

Love Birds

I started off with 1 coat of Sally Hansen Jungle Gem and then added 2 coats of Sancion Granito. Granito is a green tinted jelly with copper blue and green flakies, it is very pretty in person.
I stamped BM H22, using Mentality Proper, a set of love birds.

Weirdly enough, even though Proper is drastically different than Granito, because the copper flakies were so strong, it actually made this stamping really subtle in real life.  Granito can be layered to Opacity but it would be 4 coats or at least 3 thick coats and I don't have the patience for that kind of drying time.

Beige-y

This is 3 coats of Top Beauty Amarula which is a pink toned taupe-y sort of color. I added 2 coats of Kleancolor Silver Lining on my ring finger. I have always loved Silver Lining but I just cant find how to use it so it is shown off well it really is very pretty.
Any how I stamped over it with XL plate S using OPI My Private Jet, then added some silver glitters to each of the little flowers, In retrospect probably should have used pink to tie it in better with my accent nail.

See how pretty and long my nails are, yes long out past my finger tips on almost every finger this is an accomplishment for me. :P

Blue Circuits

I used 2 coats of China Glaze Calypso Blue which is a really super pretty dark blue.
I used XL plate L  and Color Club Harp On It to stamp a sorta circuit board looking design and then added some Aqua and Iridescent glitter from eBay.

I just love the CC holos, even more when stamped over dark colors.

Pink and Green Do Not Go Well

Well, normally it does, but in this case I just wasn't feeling it. The stamp even came out OK. I didn't like it much though and as such did not get many pics, well only the one.
I have here 3 coats of Essie Navigate Her with 2 coats of Darling Diva Soap Poisoning  layered over top then stamped it with MOS stamping polish in pink using  BM plate H23

I couldn't really get the Soap Poisoning to show up well you can sorta see it on the pointer and middle finger. meh

Birthday Nails

I did these nails for my oldest niece's birthday I can hardly believe she is 16, we still call her lizard-breath, well I do, she would kill her siblings for it :p.

I started with 2 coats  of Barry M Grapefruit and added an additional 2 coats of Different Dimension Comfortably Numb. WithStamp BM H19  using Konad White, I added the happy birthday and a cupcake which I then topped with a red pearl from ebay. Because the best cupcakes have cherries on the top. :)

No Stamp Comfortably Numb over Grapefruit

I'm pretty happy with how this came out, my niece loved it.

Cookie Monster Fuzzified

Ok I just couldn't resist I flocked the cookie monster. hehehe I can tell you it kinda obliterated his hands I guess I need to work on my detail flocking but isn't it super adorable?
I also added some black rhinstone for the eyes, I just wish I had tiny googly eyes.

Cookie Monster Nail

I have loved sesame street for ever I watched it until I was well out of its demographic. I do think elmo ruined it he was a selfish little puppet and still find him horribly annoying if I happen to catch a glimpse. I did however love the original cast of puppets and stop motion film shorts.

I started with 3 coats of Misa Peachy Keen. To make the cookies I used dots of Contrary Polish Hayride  and for the chips and out line  I used KleanColor Coffee Addict.   Cookie Monster was made using Mentality Ruffian and outlined using OPI Black Onyx, for the eyes I used Polish Me To Go White Undies.

OK, OK  so I may have gotten a little snap happy, believe it or not I had loads more. I do so love how these turned out. They are so cute.

Mermaid Nails

This is 3 coats of Yh Beja #20 I only needed 2 but I wanted to see if another coat mattered and I was planning to stamp on it. But, then I got a bee in my bonnet and thought no, I'll do hand placed glitter  like Polish All the Nails does.  It is so pretty sooooooo sparkly.  Oh my, it's so hard!! Partly because I am an idiot and used transparent glitter roughly the same shade as my polish making it extrodinarily hard to see.  Partly because, well, it takes some coordination and concentration, niether of which are strong suits for me.

All on its own its a super pretty polish

Now I am a bit ticked off because I did do this on both hands but apparently didnt take pics of both hands. Do you see that middle pic? Do you see how all my hard work is practically unnoticable? Well, it was even more so in real life, I honestly wanted to cry a bit. I will probably do this again but with opaque glitter and I'll skip the french bit on the other nails because It sounded good but looked bad in this instance.

It's Just So Pretty- Impala Swatch

I started with 2 coats of a no-name Primark purple, I then added 2 coats of Impala Na Mira 3d. I can't even  explain how much I love this or indeed even begin to apologize for my crap photography. This is just so pretty and sparkly, I wish I could paint my bedroom ceiling with this, so I could fall asleep to it I love it so much.

Plum Lotus

This is 3 coats of Catherine Arley 673 it is a sort of plummy purple with a slight hoographic lean. I used BarryM Plum to stamp the lotus image from Shany XXL 2.  I liked the stamping and I should have stopped there but I decided to add a lavendar teardrop stone to the middle of the lotus. It doesnt look terrible, I just preffered the tone on tone look of the stamping and I think the stone takes away from it more than adds to it.

Fuzzy Hearts

This is 3 coats of Smitten Pink Goes Good with Green I stamped a heart from Shany XXL 2 using
Kleancolor Metallic Pink. Though I suppose any pink would do, once that dried I when over the heart with some clear polish and a dotting tool then sprinkled some hot pink flocking powder, that I got off ebay, over the top of it.  Leaving me with cutsey fuzzy pink hearts which I could not stop touching :)

Overall, Im super happy with my first steps into the flocking world. I know the hearts arent totally even and there is room for improvement always but I was happy with this look.

Stubby Nails and Change in Posting Schedule

It all started with me breaking my laptop screen, which caused me to move to my old laptop. I am thankful I had that option, but alas it has a different OS and I haven't used Linux in a while so I have to reacquaint myself with my old friend.
As such I have decided to change my posting schedule from Sun, Tues, and Thurs to just Tues and Thurs I do not expect this will ruin any ones day but if it does my most sincere apologies I'll try to be a better blogger.

Also I feel the need to warn about pending super stubby nails in about a month-ish because, I like a buffer, you may not see them for about a month. I'm not referring to what others call nubbins, these are well into the quick because, 1. I lack self control and 2. I am forgetful, which is a bad combination. You see, I broke a nail while I was out, and having been very good, my nails were quite long (for me). So I got the most genius idea that I would bite all the nails to the same length. as I had neglected to bring with me clippers or a file. I knew better,(really I did) I knew it would not end well and It did not. Despite my mind chastising myself all the while,  I continued steadfastly because I wasn't gonna let my prior experience stop me NO! and in my dogged determination my nails are now somewhat painfully short and not terribly attractive.  So you shall see some very short nails in addition to some fake nails over the very shore nails Yay! variety for all.

Thanks as always for visiting and looking at my nail pics, I'm glad you stopped by because otherwise I am doing an awful lot of talking to myself.

Neon Roses

This is 3 coats each of Armour Ah-Mazingg!!! and Polish me to go Orange you Glad?. I got the
Roses off eBay.

I love neon particularly when they dont need undies to be bright. I love the idea of these roses they arent stiff but flexible like silicone. They didn't stay on very well but I jsut used top coat to hold them I'll try glue next time.

Dress Inspired

I have used 2 coats of China Glaze Escaping Reality on my pointer and pinky and 2 coats of Revlon Posh  on my middle and ring. I topped them both with 1 coat of Opi Black Spotted.

I think this was a good imitation of the pattern in the dress. I also had bit of an easier time working with the OPI this time as I knew what to expect.

Seeing Spots

This is 3 coats of  Mentality Nirvana which is described as an orange toned bronze holographic polish with copper accents. I think it leans more to gold but that's just me.
I used Cheeky plate ch11 stamped with Mash Black the  sequins and studs are from eBay

I like this look, I thought it was very cute, as usual Mentality and Mash polish are really great to work with, I liked the extra bit of shine added by the glitters and the studs were sorta cool.
