Multi-Colored Flowers

I wanted to like this and with some practice and perhaps longer nails maybe I will.  It was some thing new to try, the multi-color stamping.
I used 3 coats of Butter Brummie as a base. I wanted this polish forever but it was bit of let down. The color isn't quite what it looks like in the bottle and Butter irks me because most of their polishes require so many coats to be even and opaque.
For stamping I used MyOnlineShop stamping polish White, Hot Pink, and Lavender and a design from the
Apiplia mix plate.

Left Hand
Hot Pink, Lavender, White, Brummie

I'm not sure if it is color combo or sloppy stamping or what have you its just blech.  The thumb looks the best but over all I just didn't care for this all together.

Don't Call Me Sugar - Metallic Purple

This is 3 coats of Above the Curve Don't Call Me Sugar. It is a pink that flashes to lavender it is supposed to have a  linear holo but I didn't see it.  As always this could be length of my nails as a lot of holos don't really present well on really short nails, it is clear there are some holo particles you can see them but it is not a strong effect for me.  As always   $1.00 from each bottle sold will be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children. which is awesome to do a good deed and get polish :)
I have stamped using KleanColor Metallic Purple with my Jumbo Knock Off of Konad Plate using a design from row M75  and topped with Seche Vite.

This stamp almost looks like a water marble I bet if you used multiple colors it would sort of look like a water marble.  So might try that to see if it works out in the future.

I made Polish!!

I had an urge to make some Polish
First the fail metal flake polish.
We have Copper, Gold and Silver shredded glitter over black
As you can see for the gold and copper the colors bled a bit. I think the silver did the best mainly because the pieces were smaller in general. The gold and copper I had to fish for which I hate so I'll probably toss these or if you want them I can send you.

Now the Win at least for me
The one on the Left is a tarnished silver color it is opaque in 2 coats but layers over dark colors well. The other is a blue creme with silver shimmer. It can be layered too but I like them both on their own.

Now I am not sure if the win and fail is simply because I have been moving personally away from glitter polish. I still like some, but I am much more selective about which glitter polishes I will actually buy. I just don't use them often and I really have to love a glitter polish to use it these days.  Oddly enough it was glitter polish that first got me into nail art in the first place. Because the awesome thing about most well made glitter polishes is that they look good no matter what on any length of nail in any condition.  I know that most people can tell my nails are not in top condition and believe it or not they used to be much worse. So a lot of creme or metallics didn't look so great because you could see the dings and the ridges in my nails. I still have dings and ridges but not as bad as before and some metallics and cremes are still too unforgiving for me.

I think if I make some more polish I will stick to shimmers or cremes. I might try a matte glitter polish but we shall see :)

A few Swatches of Jindie Nails

I've had these hanging about for a while so I want to go ahead and post these.
These are from Jindie Nails

First up
Stompin' Gilbert Grapes described "It has lavender, grape & bright pink glitter all in a white creamy base"
This is 3 coats, I should have layered it over another for more opaqueness but it is a pretty and cheery polish to cheer me up. It spreads really well and goes on fairly smoothly.

Next up is

Water 4 Elephants from the  Elements Collection, it is described " It has multiple shapes and sizes of blue and green along with iridescent glitter and color shifting glitter and color shifting sparkle pigment all in a gray creme/jelly base" Below is 3 coats on all but my ring finger. It goes on smoothly, spreads evenly, and is much prettier than the pics.

I think you can still get both of these, I love Jindie Nails  and no I wasn't paid to say do or given the polish above. She just makes excellent polish.

Good as Gold - YH Beja 37 and 60

This is a new brand I found at one of the local trinket shops for a dollar a bottle. They are very pretty bottles too :). The smell is akin to chermoyia similar to burnt crayons, but I have used several of the polishes and so far no nail stains, it covers in a 1 to a few coats and it has decent staying power so I can put up with the smell. I used 2 coats of YH Beja 60 which is a plummy maroon and layered 1 coat of YH Beja 37  it is a shimmery pink top coat.

I used Essie Good as Gold to stamp BM309 plate. and topped with Seche Vite, the color did bleed when I added top coat but I loved the effect it gave. :) . I had not used top or a base coat and left it on for about 2 days. I was actually a bit shocked this did not stain my nails.

Right Hand in Bright Light

Left Hand in Bright Light

Oddly enough this took on a strong red tint in low light and looked much more plummy in bright light.
I love the way the bleeding kind of gave the gold and almost fade out effect, and as always this looked much more awesome in person.

So Blah No love for this Look

Honestly, I didn't care for this at all, but I'll post it any how.
I used 3 coats of Wet N Wild Gray's Anatomy and  1 smeared coat of Sally Hansen Color Quick Fuchsia Chrome.

I didn't like  Gray's Anatomy  on my nails it is so pretty in the bottle silver with flashes of green, purple and blue in the bottle but on the nail its mostly silvery with a fuchsia tint the other colors didn't show at all on my nails. The Fuchsia Chrome had a wonky brush and it was darker than expected  and didn't have as shiny a finish as I expected. So I was just disappointed all around.
I planned to do a funky french on top of the Gray's Anatomy with the Fuchsia Chrome pen but I smeared it badly on first few nails and tried to save it, so sort of sponged it out like a gradient. Then added the iridescent hearts and dunked my nails in some iridescent hex glitter and topped with Seche Vite. Meh.

Whole Lot of Lyn B Designs Swatching Going On

I had done these swatches different times and days some are cleaned up some not. All of these polishes are from LynBDesigns, no she didn't give them to me (I only wish) I bought these my very own self.
Let the pictures flow.

First up Dime A dozen it is part of the Glitter Galore collection and described as " a lightly gold tinted base with green holographic and metallic glitters. It also has white gold colored medium hexagon"  My 2 cents :) is it is a really lovely polish the pics do not do it justice here it is layered over LA Colors Live I almost wished I had done on a darker color so it would have popped a bit more. It spread nicely this is two coats.

Next up
Dalekanium from The Doctor Is In Collection this is described as black base with tons of golden shimmer. It is really nice covers in 2 coats. It looks lovely on. It appears in person much darker I was tilting my nails to make sure the shimmer showed.

My personal favorite possibly of any glitter I own and I do own more than a few
Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare Begins Collection is described as a "Glow in the dark with a hint of orange holographic glitter" this is about 2 thin coats because I didn't want to make the LA Girl Stayin' Alive base too pastel.  I have to say, I almost did not buy this, but  really anything the glows in the dark must be mine. It isn't too impressive in the bottle, but heavens on the nail it does sparkle it is just beautiful and I stared at my nails a good long time. It is now just a bonus for me that it glows so bright in the dark and is so darn pretty. I wish the pics were more true to life, ok will end my gushing.

This is 4 coats on its own with Quincy as Accent

What we have here is Lock, Shock, and Barrel from the "Nightmare Begins" Collection it is described as "bright blue base loaded with all sorts of ultrafine holographic glitter. There are pink, blue, green, orange, gold, silver, and about five more holographic glitters" (the accent is further on) This goes on smooth it isn't gritty at all. Opaque in 2 coats it is pretty to look at and drys quickly.

The accent Nail from the post above
This is Cacophony Nail Polish from the Glitter Galore Collection it is described as "royal blue gel base and features tons of blue holographic hexagons. It also has fine blue square and hexagonal metallic glitter"
It is super lovely it did take about 3 coats for me to get coverage I like and because of my lack of patience it took some time to dry. I love a dark jelly polish and this doesn't disappoint, spreads evenly, no fishing required. the pics do not do it justice it is lovely.

This is 3 coats of Quincy from the "Gender Benders" Collection it is described as "A light creamy yellow base with blue, aqua, pink, and yellow micro fine glitters. It also has a few yellow square glitters" I am not too fond of yellow polish so while this is lovely it will always be an accent for me.  It goes on smoothly dries quickly and because of the many different glitter colors it is really great to stamp over. I have said I do not care for yellow in the least, so  it says something that I am keeping this in my collection.

Below is So Changeable from the "Baker Street" Collection it is described as " a blue base with some color shifting ability, mainly blue to purple, and tons of blue fine glitter" This is one of those ones that are really much prettier in person. It took 3 coats for me to get to the opaqueness I like but it would layer wonderfully and is not gritty or anything. Has a nice smooth finish and it is oh so sparkly.

This is the All Hallow's Eve Collection, I bought these in a set so they are swatched as a set
Thumb=Psychedelic Vampire,  pointer=Zombie Dust, middle=Wolf's Bane, ring=Ghoulish Delight, and pinky= Sugar Skulls.  These are all 2 coats over Orly Vinyl (I probably would be happier with them on their own) I don't have the description for these  so I'll do my best to describe my self forgive any mistakes
Psychedelic Vampire-a purple jelly base with purple, blue, red, gold and silver glitter. Spread evenly went on smooth
Zombie Dust - a clear base with medium white and black diamonds and squares as well as finer aqua, holo and silver glitters. Spread fairly evenly  you may need to shake it a bit before you start and between coats to get the black and white glitters to go on evenly but no need to fish.
Wolf's Bane-a clear base with a really fine rusty red, and less fine small aqua, blue and gold glitter. spreads evenly and goes on smoothly.
Ghoulish Delight -a holographic-sh grey base with small round pink glitter and white diamond and square glitters also some white bar glitter (stupid bar glitter :'( ) Honestly I'd have loved this one if it did not have bar glitter I hate bar glitter. It spread evenly and no need to fish.
Sugar Skulls- a yellowy orange base with super fine red glitter , fine aqua and silver glitter, small round gold and silver glitter , green diamonds, black hearts and orange flower glitter. I don't like this color wise so i was biased against it from the start. You have to shake it for the diamonds and fish for the flowers and hearts. It was pain to apply, it might not been if  I had longer or wider nails I know having more space to work with can make polishes spread more evenly. (most of my nails are only slightly over a centimeter wide and the longest is only about a centimeter and a half)

You can still get So Changable, Dalekanium, Cacophony and Quincy all of the others I no longer see in her etsy store. These are really good polishes I have several bottles of hers, I would never point anyone to a product I did not truly really think was great. She does ship quickly, I have never had any issues so I can not say if she is good in that way. No I wasn't paid or otherwise compensated to say that.

Seeing Stars - Blue and White

I really loved how this turned out.
I used 2 coats of NYC Nail Glossies 243B and 3 coats of  MC Number #3 on the accent nails. I Stamped with 243B. Again, I failed to note the plate but if I run across it will add.
Left Hand

243B and #3

Right Hand

The MC#3 is just not accurately represented in my pics. It looks like a plain white, but it is a lovely iridescent color that flashes lavender, pink and light blue.

Lovely

This is 3 coats of Dare to Wear Crew Neck  and accent nail with 3 coats of  Dare to Wear Promiscuous with Konad Pastel Blue stamping polish. I'm sorry I cant remember which plate was used. I'll try to look it up. I wasn't satisfied with the opacity of the solid heart so I filled it in some more with the stamping polish.

Crew Neck, Promiscuous and Pastel Blue
Right Hand

I really liked the Crew neck, you can't really see in the pics but it had a shimmery finish. I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't too sheer and went on really evenly. I was bit disappointed in Promiscuous its so pretty in the bottle but went on bit dark.

Hematite Polish

Ok so it doesn't have a name, I bought it in an un-labeled set with other polishes. Why do manufacturers do that so annoying. I did not really care about the other 2 they were a sort of pastel purple and black I already had polishes like those. But this one so pretty it is like powdered hematite rock so sparkly. Almost a pewter polish but without bluish tint. This is 2 coats with some lovely fimo kitties and a topping of Seche Vite.

Just Gonna Whine About It Then

The color of this polish is just perfect the absolutely perfect dark neon green ever. Problem Its fricken sheer which would be great if I wanted to layer or do a jelly sandwich but I do not.  In the pic that is 4 fricken coats of polish  I don't mean thin coats I mean 4 medium coats of polish and still a vnl. Now I do not really mind a vnl generally but I  am just gutted this polish isn't opaque. It a perfect green. I can layer it over white I know but it just makes me sad I had such High expectations for this pretty green.

Chelsea Girl and Royal Arcade

This is 2 coats of Color Club Chelsea Girl, with 2coats Nails Inc Royal Arcade as accent on the ring finger and and Kleancolor Metallic Aqua stamped using Cheeky Jumbo B plate.Topped with Seche Vite.

This is some really subtle stamping you can only see if the light hits just so, but it was really pretty and turned out well I liked it. The photos do not do real justice to the Royal arcade it is a really lovely glitter polish though I don't think its close to royal blue at all.

Starting off the new year posting Late

I really am just too pleased with how these turned out I started with 2 coats Orly Vinyl as base and Color Club Cherubic for my thumbs and ring fingers. I stamped with Cherubic and MOS Black stamping polish  using Cheeky B plate and  Apipla 05. I added some dots of cherubic in the middle of the circles with dotting tool and topped it all off with Seche Vite.

Right Hand

Cherubic stamped so well I was just so stoked this turned out so great I loved this so much .

Beach Blue Mousse with bows

This is 3 coats of Lime Crime Blue Mousse stamped with KleanColor Beach Blue 25 using the
Jumbo Knock Off of Konad Plate Row M56. I added small aqua round glitter in middle of each bow (it is a no name received as part of a franken kit).  Topped with Seche Vite.

I like how well this turned out. There are a few mistakes where I didn't get the stamp all the way across and a few more where I tried to fix it :)

Shooting Stars

For this mani I followed Arcadia Nail Art's Shooting Stars Tutorial. Ok so I didn't follow exactly, but closely enough.

For Base I used 2 coats of China Glaze Calypso Blue-673. I then used New York Hot Metallic Silver and a dotting tool to make a slightly curved line on my ring fingers and thumbs. I then added two more dotted lines on either side using Color Club Lumin-ICEcent-932. When I was done I thought it needed a bit of something else, so added Essie Shine of the Times over the dottings and on the tips of my fingers. I then added some star shape sequins I got from Nailways. I topped with 2 coats of Seche Vite mainly to hide the texture of the star it was really too large for may nail and wouldn't bend with my nail. Then Matted it with Butter Matte Topcoat.
Before Matting

After Matting I know it looks Black but its really Dark Blue
Calypso Blue, Hot Metallic Silver, LuminICEcent, Shine of the Times

Right Hand see blue  and bit smudged

Left Hand

I think if/when I do this again I'll do smaller stars and wear tighter pants. I almost lost my pants which is why my right hand thumb is smudged. The stars drove me absolutely nuts, I ran my fingers over them all day and had to seriously concentrate not to pick at them.  I can not stand for anything to stick out off my nails. I see those nails with all the really big 3-D bows, flowers, etc and I wonder how they make it. I can do really thinly sliced fimo and sequins that bend a bit, but I'd pick my nails apart with anything that stuck out too far from my nail.
